So You Want to Dance 2- Bottle Your Crazy Up
by Eileen Carey

The radio release of “Bottle Your Crazy Up,” written by Bart Almond and Amy Dalley and produced by Travis Allen of Nashville Tracks, shot to the top of a number of radio and internet charts including all the New Music Weekly Country charts in late 2014, made the impregnable Music Row charts to the Top 20, and it crossed over into their AC/Hot AC charts reaching into the Top 10 of NMW charts in early 2015. It was the second single off my third career album release, Let It Go. It resulted in my being awarded a New Music Award
The song and which the video narrative faithfully follows, is of a friend suggesting to another friend that showing too much, and trying too hard to quench the pain of a recent breakup was not going to land that someone worth landing. BYCU is a spirited song of good common sense and advice in matters of the heart. It speaks of a woman telling another not to rebound after a breakup on her first date. She advises her friend not to drink the tequila, to be on her best behavior, save the crazy for later.”

Everything about Bottle Your Crazy Up was big. The song, the video, the production, dancers, cast and crew size in the making of the video; everything was big. It was the first music video that I co-authored a story script for a production of that size.  As I often say I came to Los Angeles to make films, and in a sense I do so by creating my music videos.
The official music video of Bottle Your Crazy Up was directed by Denice Duff, who was amazing and from whom I learned so much. The cinematographer was Frankie Guererro, and Sevier Crespo and Jamie Fisher produced the video, Shot primarily at the world-famous Cowboy Palace in Chatsworth, California. The high-spirited video co-stars, with myself, actors Jason Tobias (All Is Not Quiet) and Ava Capra and features Julie Michaels, from the Patrick Swayze film Road House. There are scenes as well at Burbank Equestrian Center, Hollywood’s most exclusive horse stables. The video received 65,000 + Youtube views and still attracts new views today.

Denise later released a really coolBehind the Scenes of Bottle Your Crazy Up’ in January of 2015 as well, which further increased the views of the original.

BYCU is the kind of song that begged for a line dance mix, which was the track that we used and created for the video. My experience with a past country dance promotion of “Out With The Girls” a Producer’s Choice LA Music Award Dance Single of 2010 from my Movin’ On album, had impressed me with the possibilities that line-dance afforded a country artist’s music.  Especially for an up tempo Country-Pop singer-songwriter like myself.
Music is about people, especially Country. It grew out of the need for people to get together at the end of a work week. Line-dancing is definitely about people getting together.
We launched the dance mix of “Bottle Your Crazy Up” with Wildhorse Entertainment International Superstars of Country; and it reached, #1 on their Download Chart and held the position all of July 2015. Wildhorse did a great job of getting it out to the dance instructors and choreographers worldwide. My favorite dance walkthrough video was" choreographed by Randy Pelletier of the One Eyed Parrot Dance Club in the UK, on October 13, 2014

And the full dance performance of the 32 Count / 4 Wall High Beginner Line Dance Choreographed by Randy Pelletier in September of 201 received 2800 + views in 2015.
I was able to visit a number of dance clubs during my radio station tour of the Central U.S. states like Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio and Tennessee. I enjoyed visiting the Wildhorse Saloon and got to visit with
Bottle Your Crazy Up

Tonight’s the night first date in a long time
You had your share of girl’s night out
Now we talk trash and we love to man bash
We all know what’s really going down
You wanna feel like a girly girl
You wanna guy to rock your world
I know you didn’t ask me
But if I were you this is what I’d do

Don’t order the tequila
Cause you know how you get
Don’t talk about your ex
You aint over him yet
You can wear the short skirt
But I’d skip the heels
And don’t go on about how ya feel
Just for tonight
Bottle your crazy up
Bottle your crazy up

Don’t be mad
I’m just trying to remind you
You know I know
Just what you mean
A little less might work in your favor

Remember that guy in New Orleans

He saw too much of everything
You were just trying to get more beads
I know you didn’t ask me
But if I were you this is what I’d do

Don’t order the tequila
Cause you know how you get
Don’t talk about your ex
You aint over him yet
You can wear the short skirt
But I’d skip the heels
And don’t go on about how ya feel
Just for tonight
Bottle your crazy up

I’m not saying don’t be yourself
But you think this guy is something else
So don’t get wild
And get drunk tonight

Don’t order the tequila
Cause you know how you get
Don’t talk about your ex
You aint over him yet
You can wear the short skirt
But I’d skip the heels
And don’t go on about how ya feel

Don’t order the tequila
Cause you know how you get
Don’t talk about your ex
You aint over him yet
You can wear the short skirt
But I’d skip the heels
And don’t go on about how ya feel
Just for tonight
Bottle your crazy up
Bottle your crazy up
Oh yeah
Go!
Go girl!
