LYRX Interview by Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International Magazine & Radio Show

1. How would you describe yourself and the music you play to someone who has never seen or heard you?
It’s a party! I love to create music that makes you dance and want to have fun. I’d say a mix between Gwen Stefani and Shania Twain.

2. Can you talk about your new single, "Take The Money," and what we can expect to hear next?
I wanted to write a song talking about how I am who I am and I ain’t changing! That’s “Take The Money”. The next songs are all about my life and inspired by my own experiences.

3. Who inspires you musically, and how deep do your musical roots run?
Oh gosh. My roots run deep! I’m inspired by my family. My mom and dad were in a Southern Gospel group and we would go around to churches singing since we were little. Like my dad says, I can’t remember not doing music!

4. What do you think about today's music scene versus its post, and where do you see it going in the future?
I think it’s amazing! I see artists coming out in unique ways and continuing to be creative.

5. What differentiates you from other country music artists?
Probably everything. Haha! People always ask me what female country artist if compare myself to and the only one I can really say is Shania Twain. There’s so many amazing female artists out there right now I just don’t sound like them. I’d say I’m a little more rock with real country lyrics.

6. What have been your greatest challenge in music business?
Being different. I think music industry people get scared of different! But I love it.

7. What hopes and desires do you have?
I just want to make music that fans connect to! Fans are all that matters. I want to write the soundtrack to somebody’s summer, high school, college, etc!

8. What can your fans expect to see when they see you in concert?
Lots of energy! I love to have fun and see other people have fun. It’s such a thrill!

9. Do you have a favorite song that you wish you wrote?
“What Hurts The Most” by Rascal Flatts! Jeffrey Steele wrote it and that song is just UNREAL.

10. What message would you like to send your European fans?
I wanna come see you!!! I LOVE Europe!
