Nashville, Tenn. (July 17, 2017) – Black River Entertainment recording artist Kelsea Ballerini is set for back-to-back TV performances of her new single “Legends” next week, as “Country’s next big thing” (Idolator) continues to bring her heart-melting hit-in-the-making to fans all across the country.
Prepping for a whirlwind day on Tuesday (7/25), Ballerini will sing her “crazy, tragic, epic” anthem of love and loss on both ABC’s GOOD MORNING AMERICA and NBC’s THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON.
Rooted in Ballerini’s own romantic life story, the powerful song – co-written by Ballerini, Hillary Lindsey and Forest Glen Whitehead (also serves as producer alongside Jason Massey) – offers the first look at her highly-anticipated second album.
Its stunning music video, directed by Jeff Venable, puts an unforgettable face to the “Legends” story, and has already gathered over half a million views on Vevo. Meanwhile, the track has begun climbing steadily at Country radio and critics (as well as fans) are officially in love.
People Magazine says the track shows Ballerini is “well on her way to becoming a Country legend,” while Perez Hilton raves that the young singer-songwriter has “filled the void Taylor Swift left behind when she transitioned from Country over to Pop.” Country Common says “Legends” is “the next chapter in this legendary young artist’s career,” as LA Music Blog predicts the song is “bound to become one of this summer’s Country radio hits,” and Taste of Country gushes about its emotional weight, saying “the song hurts, even as you’re smiling.”
More details about Ballerini’s upcoming second album are coming soon. It will follow the unprecedented success of her debut album, THE FIRST TIME, which landed inside the Top 5 of Billboard’s Country Albums chart and spawned three consecutive PLATINUM and GOLD #1 singles with “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs,” and “Peter Pan” – marking the only time in Country history a female artist has hit #1 with her first three singles. Her fourth release from THE FIRST TIME – the fun and flirty, GOLD-certified “Yeah Boy” – rose to the lofty height of #3 on the Country radio airplay charts.
Ballerini is currently bringing those record-breaking hits and “Legends” to fans all over the world, as she crisscrosses the country this summer on Lady Antebellum’s YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR and visits fans in the U.K., Ireland, and Europe in October.

About Kelsea Ballerini:
Named among "The 35 Most Anticipated Albums of 2017” by Entertainment Weekly, GRAMMY nominee Kelsea Ballerini has released her first heart-melting anthemic single “Legends” off her highly anticipated sophomore album. The Black River Entertainment artist skyrocketed to stardom after releasing three consecutive #1 smashes from her critically acclaimed debut album THE FIRST TIME – the PLATINUM-certified “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Peter Pan,” and GOLD-certified “Dibs” – making her the only female artist in country music history, including female duos and groups, to achieve this accolade. The talented singer-songwriter also reached GOLD with Top 5 hit “Yeah Boy,” after having written or co-written all 12 songs on her debut. Ballerini has appeared on the cover of Billboard Magazine’s GRAMMY preview issue, was included in Forbes’ “30 Under 30” class of 2017, and featured in People Magazine’s “Beauty at Every Age” list in their iconic World’s Most Beautiful issue for 2017. She's been named “The Country Sweetheart” in People’s elite “Ones to Watch” portfolio, praised by Rolling Stone as the “Nashville It Girl,” touted by Billboard as “Country’s Next Queen,” and selected as one of CMT’s Next Women of Country. After her 2016 headline THE FIRST TIME TOUR – which visited dozens of cities across the U.S. and included sold-out shows in her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New York City; Los Angeles; and more – Ballerini joined Thomas Rhett for his HOME TEAM TOUR and is currently on Lady Antebellum’s YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR. Awarded Billboard’s “Rising Star” honor at the prestigious 2015 Women in Music event, she has continued to gain recognition by scoring her first-ever ACM Award win for New Female Vocalist of the Year, iHeartRadio Music Award for Best New Country Artist, multiple Radio Disney Music Awards, and the American Country Countdown Award (ACCA) for Breakthrough Female of the Year
