CANADIAN COUNTRY DUO PETRIC ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE “PLAY IT SAFE”, AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE NOW
Toronto, ON (April 17, 2017) – Award winning Manitoba country duo Petric announced today the release of their brand new single “Play It Safe”, available digitally everywhere via SteelHead Music. Playing it anything but safe, the single is more sonically evolved and mature than anything they’ve released thus far, leading with banjo riffs reminiscent of the one and only Keith Urban and showcasing the raw natural vocal talent that drew JUNO Award winning and platinum selling country star Dallas Smith to sign the band to Steelhead Music in the first place.
After forming Petric in March of 2014, brothers Jason and Tom released their debut single “Here Goes Everything”, which cracked the Top 25 at country radio and introduced the duo to audiences nationwide. SteelHead Music – a partnership between Smith, Alex Seif (Union Entertainment Group) and Scott Cooke (producer – Chase Rice, Cold Creek County), took notice and in October 2015 released the debut EP from Petric, “It Girl”. The sibling duo cut the EP while travelling back and forth between home and Nashville, where they collaborated with hit writers and producers to create their signature sound and become the inaugural act on the record label.
Having released three singles thus far – “Here Goes Everything”, the immediately infectious title-track “It Girl” and recent hit “All She Wrote”, which has garnered over 1.5 million streams on Spotify, Petric have spent countless hours on the road, joining Smith on his Tippin’ Point tour and sharing the stage with such notable acts as Lady Antebellum, Thomas Rhett and fellow Canadian sibling duo High Valley.
