Paulina Jayne "Sets Listeners Free" with "Piercing" Sophomore Project
artist Paulina Jayne's sophomore EP is now available on all platforms.
The much anticipated release follows the debut of her single, Love's Gonna Always Win , which is one of the five songs featured on her self-titled EP. The
Detroit native recently finished recording the project under the
direction of Emmy award-winning songwriter Trey Bruce, who produced the
album and co-wrote the single, Love's Gonna Always Win with Jayne and Hailey Steele.
Jayne recently received MusicRow’s coveted DISCovery
award for the single from industry tastemaker, Robert K. Oermann.
Oermann states, “The atmosphere in this production is heavenly. Her
vocal is a piercing arrow of truth. From the lyric to the searing lead
guitar, from the pulsing tempo to her soprano swoops, this record has an
audio delight around every corner. The layered, multi-voiced finale
crescendo will set you free.”
The project follows her first EP, Girl Who Would be King,
released during her junior year in high school. Jayne is proud of her
previous efforts, but excited to lay the groundwork for a fresh sound
and vision that gives listeners a look at the world through her eyes.
“This EP features some of my favorite work,” says Jayne proudly. “From
songs about heartbreak to female empowerment, it explores who I am and
the real-life issues we all face.”
junior at Belmont University, Jayne’s enthusiasm for her craft began at
a young age, and her songwriting prowess enabled her to work alongside
famed songwriters since age 14. With hundreds of original songs in her
catalog, Paulina’s writing credits include collaborations with Shane
McAnally, JTX, Bonnie Baker, Steph Jones, Danny Orton and of course her
producer/mentor Trey Bruce among others. “Paulina is writing the kinds
of songs the newest youth movement of country listeners really love, but
with a slight variation in the images and the language. From growing up
in Detroit, she's picked up an irresistible rhyming pattern with her
lyrics that set her apart from the pack. Paulina is an artist to watch
and listen for closely!” says Bruce.
