PHILIP DAIN POWELL RELEASES COUNTRY SONG WRITTEN BY SALLY GENTRY, DAUGHTER OF ALABAMA'S, TEDDY GENTRY
(NASHVILLE, TENN - FEB 24, 2016) Sally Gentry Lutz - or 'Sally G' as Nashville knows her - is a prolific lyricist, and naturally so. This bubbly brunette is the only daughter of Teddy Gentry - bassist, singer and songwriter for the legendary band Alabama, the most awarded group in the history of Country music. Sally G may be Country music royalty but she remains a homegrown soul whose passionate poetry spills from her Lookout Mountain, Alabama roots. Teddy Gentry serenaded his baby girl on her 2nd birthday with Alabama's "Never Be One" - and Sally's tiny voice coos "Goodnight, Daddy" at its close. Now, this mom of five has penned 450 songs and signed with Kids South Music. The shoe's on the other foot, as Southerners say.
