David James About A Girl
The charming romantic of the Canadian country music scene, it is no coincidence the release follows closely after Valentine's Day. Says James, "These songs all carry aspects of the human experience we all share - love, passion, perseverance, and really laying it all on the line for those you care about." Three years in the making, every note has been meticulously crafted to evoke the deepest and complex emotions amidst the listeners.
James continues, "I love the raw emotive human drive conveyed in “Lay It On Me”. “Lonely Girl” has such an honest innocence about it. I’ve poured so much of myself into all 6 of these songs, and that’s precisely why they’re on this record."
In celebration of this release, James will host an EP release party on March 16, 2016 in his hometown of Winnipeg, MB (details to be announced). In 2015 James won his first Manitoba Country Music Award (MCMA) in the Music Video of the Year category for his first single off of the EP, “What We Weren’t Looking For”. He will also tour throughout 2016, including an appearance at Boots and Hearts in August.
