Competing in American Paint Horse World Championship Show

(Nashville, Tennessee...) - Most of the 300,000+ "Likes" on Chelsea Bain's Facebook page know her as a rockin' country singer/songwriter whose concerts at NASCAR races draw fans from across the nation. Following three performances at the Texas Motor Speedway last weekend, Chelsea traded her microphone for reins to compete in the 2014 APHA (American Paint Horse Association) World Championship Show in Ft. Worth, Texas. A 10-time National Champion, Chelsea will be competing on her horse Sensational Blonde, or "Barbie," as she is more affectionately known through November 15.

The "Paint Horse Journal," the official publication of the APHA, recently listed Sensational Blonde as one of the top world show point earners of all time. The October issue of "Chrome," one of the top equestrian magazines, features a multi-page article about Chelsea, her love of horses and how she fits training and competing in between recording, promoting her music and touring.

"We had horses all our lives and grew up on a ranch, but I'm the only one who really fell in love with the horses," she told the magazine. "I started out riding rodeo, roping and barrel horses. I think I did my first barrel race when I was 4--I basically stole my uncle's roping horse and tried to turn it into a barrel horse."

The article included a video with Chelsea's music as the backdrop, and it can be viewed here. The entire feature can be read here.

On the music front, Chelsea has been in the studio with award-winning producer Michael Knox (Jason Aldean, Montgomery Gentry) and just released a four-song EP, entitled Never Ever Gone to iTunes. She headlined the Webasto/Bass Pro Shops Stage at all three NASCAR races at the Texas Motor Speedway October 31, November 1 & 2.
