Nashville, TN (May 28, 2013) -Popular Texas group LANTANA will be in Nashville during CMA Music Festival week to record their upcoming CD with producer Johnny Garcia (Collin Raye, Mindy McCready, Sherrie Austin). They'll break from the studio just long enough for a 60-minute acoustic performance from noon - 1 p.m. CDT on Saturday, June 9 at Big Shotz (115 Second Avenue North).

Formed as a trio in 2006 and known for their intricate harmonies, LANTANA now features just two vocalists: Texan native Biz Haddock and Canadian musician Dalene Richelle.  Joined together, the two friends create an intriguing musical mix that engages audiences wherever they perform.

LANTANA has entertained fans at some of the largest and most prestigious venues in the U.S., including the Houston Astrodome, Louisiana Superdome, Texas Stadium, State Fair of Texas (2006, 2009-2012), and CMA Music Festival events (2009).

"We love small, intimate venues as well and are really looking forward to our set with Johnny at Big Shotz," notes Haddock.

LANTANA's debut CD release, UNBRIDLED, was named one of the Top 10 CDs of the Year (2006) by the Dallas Morning News.  The disc also earned them two Top 10 hits ("Country As A City Girl Can Be" and "Texas") on the Texas Music Chart, a feat superseded by only one other female group prior to LANTANA -- The Dixie Chicks.
