August 15, 2011 - Nashville, TN "Music City U.S.A."  -  Nashville-based recording artist Lindsay George teamed up with top-ten artist/record producer Jamie Slocum at Curb Records to record her new album.  The new project, "Who Would I Have To Be," is available now at www.lindsaygeorge.com and iTunes.
"Who Would I Have To Be" is the result of a year-long collaboration between George and Slocum. The new album takes George in a different direction than her 2009 jazz release, "Living Inside Out."
"I wanted this project to reflect where I am as an artist and where I am heading," says George. "This is definitely a more pop direction, but my goal was to keep the music interesting and exciting to listen to. Not just another cookie cutter pop album."
And that's exactly what "Who Would I Have To Be" accomplishes. Slocum and George were perfectly matched on this project - George writing unique, honest, and compelling lyrics, and Slocum bringing a natural talent for composing memorable melodies and innovative arrangements. They have achieved that rare combination of catchy pop songs that remain interesting and innovative. The album's two cover songs also reflect this creative mission.  The new take on Rick Springfield's "Don't Talk to Strangers," featuring a cameo performance by Springfield himself, brings to light Slocum's true talent as a producer.
George has teamed up with veteran record promoter Paul Loggins (Loggins Promotion) to release her debut single "Spaces".
"Every once and awhile an artist comes along with a true unique sound and explosive talent that Lindsay brings to the table. We are thrilled to be working with such an artist." states Paul Loggins (CEO, Loggins Promotion)
Without a doubt, "Who Would I Have to Be" is a creative journey well worth taking.
