Singer and Songwriter Brandon Rickman
signs with Mountain Music Entertainment
for Exclusive Artist Representation
Rickman is best known for his lead vocals with the Lonesome River Band
and his songwriting efforts on songs like "I Bought Her a Dog"
NASHVILLE, Tennessee (June 22, 2011) - Mountain Music Entertainment proudly announces exclusive booking representation of singer and songwriter Brandon Rickman. The partnership became official the week of June 1st though Rickman and Mountain Music Entertainment have been working together since March 2011. Mountain Music Entertainment will provide exclusive representation for Brandon Rickman during solo performances. Rickman will remain as the lead singer and guitarist for the Lonesome River Band.
"Brandon has an incredible talent. He is among the best when it comes to singing a song or writing new music. I've enjoyed working with him and getting to know him personally" said Steve Johnson, President and CEO of Mountain Music Entertainment. "If you are looking for hard driving, cutting edge, roots acoustic music Brandon is an artist you will not want to miss. He can command a room with just his voice and a guitar. I hope everyone will take the opportunity to get to know his music and what he can offer on his solo shows."
Brandon Rickman hails from the state of Missouri. A product of a musical family, Brandon grew up playing guitar, but picked up the upright bass just hours before playing his first show as a member of the esteemed bluegrass gospel group, New Tradition. Prior to joining the Lonesome River Band, he spent the 2001 season appearing with the award-winning bluegrass singer and songwriter Larry Cordle and Lonesome Standard Time.
In 2009 Rural Rhythm Records released Brandon's solo album, YOUNG MAN, OLD SOUL. This successful album appeared in WNCW Radio's Top 50 CDs of the Year (2010) and received numerous other honors. Two singles, "Always Have Always Will" and "I Bought Her a Dog" appeared on the Bluegrass Unlimited Top 30 Song chart; and the track, "Wearin Her Knees Out Over Me" won the Strictly Country Magazine's Song of the Year in 2010.
"I am very excited about working with Mountain Music Entertainment. They have a good vibe that feels right for the things we hope to accomplish. I look forward taking my solo show to many listening rooms and venues around the country. It will be a different from the shows I currently do with the Lonesome River Band as for the most part it will just be me and a guitar." said Rickman.
